AeroAstro does not accept GRE scores and will not consider GRE scores in the evaluation of your application. If you have shared your scores in other applications, these scores will not be visible to the review committee.

For international applicants

All international applicants are required to submit valid English Language Proficiency test scores unless an applicant meets the eligibility requirements for an automatic exemption from the ELP Test Score requirement. Please see the accepted score types for applicants to Mechanical Engineering and instructions on how to send your scores to MIT below.

ELP Waiver Eligibility

1. Applicant’s main language of instruction was English in their primary and secondary schools (i.e., from age 6 through age 18)
2. Applicant has been residing in the U.S. (or a country where English is an official language) for a minimum of three years and has earned a degree from an accredited institution where English is the main language of instruction.
