Childbirth Accomodation & Parental Accommodation

Childbirth Accommodation and Parental Accommodation provide new parents with time away from academic and research responsibilities, enabling students to recover from childbirth and/or adjust to parenthood.

Grant for Graduate Students with Children

The MIT Grant for Graduate Students with Children is a need-blind grant available to all full-time PhD students. Master’s students who qualify for summer tuition subsidy also are eligible for the grant.

Backup childcare

The Office of Graduate Education subsidizes 15 days of backup childcare per year through our partner Care.com. At the link, learn about setting up your account to access the backup care benefit, which includes in-home or in-center childcare.
