Welcome

Welcome to the Office of Graduate Education (OGE)!

Here in the OGE, we take pride in our part of each graduate student’s journey toward their degree — and we take pride in you, our current and prospective graduate students. MIT graduate students’ daily experiences embody the motto of “mens et manus,” or “mind and hand,” and our community shares the values of egalitarianism, collaboration, community, and making a difference.

As you make your mark, we are here to support your wellbeing and development as a whole person. Our staff members can help you:

  • Figure out the right program to apply to and answer your admissions questions;
  • Navigate faculty/student relationships;
  • Negotiate conflicts and interpersonal concerns;
  • Explore academic progress and funding issues;
  • Identify and apply for fellowships;
  • Finding your people and your place at MIT.

Whether you are exploring graduate study options or are currently a member of our campus community, we look forward to connecting with you. Use this website as your foundation for helpful resources and information, and reach out to us with your questions.
