“I have benefited – and continue to benefit – tremendously from my mentors who have challenged me scientifically and supported me along the way. They modeled how to pursue excellent research without losing sight of the importance of personal connection and integrity. From these experiences, I have learned that mentorship is a balance of challenge and support, autonomy and guidance, and ambition and well-being.
