VPF Fall Tax Workshop for Graduate Students

The VPF Tax team is holding a Tax Workshop for Graduate Students on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm on Zoom.
The Workshop will feature presentations prepared by the VPF Tax and HR/Payroll teams.
Topics include:
- Q&A session
- Whether your payments from MIT are taxable
- Your tax residency status
- Filing obligations
- Tax withholding information
- Payroll taxes (FICA)
- Tax Treaty benefits
The team encourages graduate students to submit their tax questions in advance using this form.
The presentation will be conducted as an online webinar and will be recorded. The captioned video of the Tax Workshop will be posted to the Tax Guidance for Nonresident Aliens and Tax Guidance for U.S. Residents pages of the VPF website a few days after the live event.
Open to all MIT graduate students, regardless of residency or citizenship status. No registration is required.
