Department ELP Waivers:

The Department of Economics will waive the ELP test score requirement for international non-native speakers of English who have spent three or more years studying in an accredited university where English is the primary language of instruction. This includes institutions in countries not covered by the automatic exemption policy.

Please note: verification of the institution’s language of instruction will be required to request an ELP waiver.

Courses Section:

Applicants are required to complete the Courses section of the online application. Please list economics and mathematics courses only. Group courses by subject area, and complete each column.

Transcripts:

You may upload a resume or CV electronically to your application. Hard copies sent via post will not be accepted. Official copies of transcripts should be scanned and uploaded to your online application. We don’t require original official transcripts until after a student has been admitted to the department.

If you’re admitted to the program, we’ll require you to have an official copy of your transcript(s) sent to us from the university’s registrar. When necessary, please have records translated into English. Any discrepancy between the scanned transcripts and official transcripts may result in a rejection or withdrawal of our admission offer.
