Led by the Office of Graduate Education (OGE) and championed by departments and partner offices, Graduate & Professional Student Appreciation Week is a weeklong celebration thanking graduate and professional students for their incredible contributions to MIT. From April 6-12, 2026, the central calendar featured 19 events as well as giveaways and a button-making activity. Over 1000 grad students participated in events including glass etching, planting, crocheting and a science show for kids. As always, students basked in a 15-minute chair massage and this year saw a record turnout for our GradSupport Open House. Thanks to everyone who helped make the week a success!
