In response to administrator feedback, we are making strides to centralize important information for administrators and faculty supporting graduate students. To accomplish that goal, the OGE has built a new site: MIT GradCentral.
Content
GradCentral will be an administrator’s first stop for many key resources:
- A timeline of the academic year for graduate administrators;
- Orientation materials for departments;
- Templates and guides;
- Graduate Administrators Roundtable meeting archive and directories;
- Training resources (including extensive training materials for staff and faculty on the Collective Bargaining Agreement); and
- A filterable repository of key campus announcements to grad-supporting staff or graduate students.
The site is launching with initial available content, but will continue to expand. We welcome thoughts on the material that will be most useful.
Access
The site will use Touchstone authentication, and is available only to the following administrators and faculty: grad admins, grad officers, department heads, assistant department heads (by request), graduate academic advisors & research supervisors, graduate admissions chairs, school deans and assistant school deans (via a provost-maintained list), visiting student approvers, and assistant deans for diversity. If you need access but do not fall into one of these categories, please reach out to oge-comms@mit.edu.
