Tools for successful research at MIT
MIT graduate students must understand the expectations and standards that constitute academic integrity at MIT. Prepared by the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards, the handbook “Academic Integrity at MIT” provides information about what constitutes violations of academic integrity as well as the consequences of committing such violations.
Valuable training in the responsible conduct of research is available online to graduate students and other members of the MIT community. Example topics include data acquisition and management; responsible authorship and allocation of credit; peer review; mentoring; conflicts of interest; and collaborative research.
