Angel is an El Salvadoran and Guatemalan first-generation chemistry student at the Georgia Institute of Technology, interested in energy storage materials and qubits. As a rising senior, he has worked on doped oxide glass materials, analysis of arthritis products through electrochemical detection methods, cathode materials for Zn-ion materials, and Li-ion batteries. His work has been multidisciplinary, and his interests are in discovering novel materials and their applications for real-world systems. After being named a Goldwater Scholar in 2022, Angel has been inspired to obtain a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry and pursue a career in academia.
