Biography

Zoe Wang is a sophomore at Carleton College pursuing a double major in mathematics and religion. She is broadly interested in science communication, education, public perceptions of religion and science, and how these three spheres intersect. Her scientific curiosities include 1) the different scales at which physical laws can apply and how far those laws can extend, and 2) the implications behind certainty being probabilistically limited. She believes that the supposed incompatibility between humanities and science is a critical misconception and wants to combat it. At Carleton, Zoe helps run the radio station, KRLX 88.1 FM; is a member of the Academic Quiz Team; and participates in club climbing and ice hockey. She also enjoys reading in her free time. Her career goal right now is to become a science communicator with a strong grounding in scientific research and a background in humanities.
