Biography
Trey Davis is a rising senior robotics engineering student at the University of Michigan with a deep connection to the art community. His work focuses on how social robotics can support creative thought in artistic and professional spaces. He is also interested in how technology has changed the way that we understand creativity. In 2024, he started working with Dr. Patricia Alves-Oliveira designing an LLM-based agent and social robot for professional creativity support. He hopes to extend this work into a broader career focused in developing helpful and ethical technology for artists and everyday creatives. At MIT, he’s looking to meet more professors willing to challenge his understanding of how this can be accomplished and help him find ways to increase the impact of his work.
