Keith Cort is a rising senior Mechanical Engineering major at Howard University. He is a first-generation college student from Georgetown, Guyana. During his teenage years, Keith developed a fascination for space exploration, and it tremendously influenced his academic goals. He aims to obtain a Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics, contributing to exploring the vastness of space. Keith intends to invest in his native country by providing underprivileged communities access to quality education and training by creating centers for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). At Howard University, Keith is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), which allows him to collaborate with his peers to ensure students receive exposure to resources that enhance their engineering knowledge. In his leisure time, he enjoys going to the gym, playing soccer, and spending time with loved ones.
