Biography
Aidan Colon is a junior at Rice University studying Electrical & Computer Engineering. With a keen interest in human and machine perception, he plans to pursue graduate research in signal processing and machine learning. As an MSRP intern, Aidan works with the Learning & Intelligent Systems group, led by Prof. Leslie Kaelbling and Prof. Tomás Lozano-Pérez, implementing object-based state estimation for mobile manipulation robots. As a musician, Aidan is particularly interested in the human experience of sound and aspires to study the synthesis of interactive and immersive soundscapes in physical and virtual environments through generative modeling. Aidan also enjoys teaching himself electronic music production in his free time. He is a volunteer DJ for Rice’s student-run radio station, KTRU 96.1FM, showcasing eclectic jazz from classic and modern artists.
