My name is Makaya Chilekwa and I was born and raised in Lusaka, Zambia. I am a rising senior studying Chemical Engineering at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. My research interests are in controlled drug delivery systems and nanomedicine, and my career goal is to obtain a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. I am also interested in exploring the field of education by learning effective teaching methods to uplift the next generation of engineers and scientists. Apart from academics, I enjoy cooking, hiking, listening to music, and watching movies.
