I am from Bamako, Mali and I am a senior studying Biochemistry and Chemistry at Kansas State University. I am interested in research at the interface of computational and experimental structural biology, specifically in the areas of protein engineering with the goal of developing novel therapeutic agents. My ultimate career goal is to obtain a Ph.D. in bioengineering and to work as a professor or research scientist. Alongside my work as a researcher, I hope to work with individuals in developing countries to find solutions that would enable the utilization of local resources to provide efficient and affordable medicine. When I am not in the lab, I enjoy painting, reading, and participating in various chemistry demo shows.
