I am a maker, designer, researcher, and musician, passionate about developing solutions that make a difference in the wellbeing of others. I was born on a beautiful island of the Caribbean called Puerto Rico, where I have lived all my life. Currently, I am an undergraduate mechanical engineering student at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez. I have always been a curious and creative mind, and as I progressed in my academic journey, my curiosity and creativity evolved into a passion for research and product design and development. Some of my research experiences include work in areas like instrumentation development, renewable energy, biomedical devices, engineering STEAM education, and even user-centered product design. I also have some industry experience, including a co-op at Johnson & Johnson. In addition to my research and industry experience, I have always participated in numerous outreach activities in STEAM to help promote higher education in kids. Those experiences among other projects and initiatives led me to the road of entrepreneurship and today I am the co-founder of Immersive Learning a Startup focused on developing new educational tools in STEAM. My current goal is to achieve a Ph.D. in a field related to biomedical or media arts and sciences applied to health or education. My dream is to become a pioneer and entrepreneur in any of those fields, developing tools or devices that can help society achieve a better quality of life.
