I was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and I major in Electrical Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico. From a young age, real world stories about scientific inquiry along with their impact in society have captured my imagination; it’s this kind of exposure that has motivated me to pursue a Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics and/or AMO physics. My research interests include, but are not limited to, EM/Photonic metamaterials, exotic matter such as BECs, and nanotechnology. Aside from academics, in my free time I enjoy drawing and sketching concept art, walks on sunny days, and losing myself in philosophical musings.
