Biography
I am a second year majoring in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at University of California, San Diego. I am originally from northern California. One of the gems in my town is the lovely Bidwell Park, where I like run on the many trials. I also enjoy hanging with friends and eating froyo. At UCSD, my research involves the affects of mechanical stretch on mesenchymal stem cells. I’m interested in all aspects of tissue engineering. That includes stem cell therapy, biomaterials, bioreactor design, scaffold design, and more. I plan to pursue a PhD in tissue engineering and work in academia, so I can bring more young people into the science community.
