Born and raised in Sudan, I came to the U.S to pursue college education in the field of Computer Engineering. I have always been fascinated with the interaction between humans and computers, so I am particularly excited to obtain a PhD in the area of Human-Computer Interaction and Machine Learning. One very interesting research problem to me is making computers capable of interacting with humans across different languages, dialects, and accents. In my free time, I enjoy socializing, reading, working out, taking selfies, and, most importantly, listening to music and singing.
