Biography
Samalis was born and raised in the island of Puerto Rico where she is majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Participating in research experiences has helped her acknowledge the importance of space exploration. Within this field of study she interested in research areas within space systems, propulsion and advanced materials. After getting her BS she plans to pursue a graduate degree and use her knowledge and experience in research and development. As a former athlete she likes to swim, go to the beach and dance.
