I am a rising senior majoring in Chemical Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez (UPRM) with a minor in Applied Mathematics. My undergraduate research for the past two years has focus on different aspects of material science which include fabrication of bio-nanocomposites, synthesis of nanoporous materials for Carbon dioxide storage and material selection for protein stability. My dream is to get a PhD in Chemical Engineering and from there work on high-impact problems related to Computational Fluid Mechanics (CFD) and Continuum Electromechanics both of which have numerous applications in many fields. As for my hobbies, I enjoy watching thought-provoking TV drama shows, e.g., Mad Men, House of Cards, Breaking bad and Homeland.
