Why did you decide to ENROLL at MIT for your graduate school?
It was the best combination of academic rigor, stellar research opportunities, MIT EECS has a high retention rate of graduate students, Boston had character as a city and I thought I can grow from living here. Cambridge, MA has some of the highest concentration of intellectuals between MIT and Harvard and you can learn something every day if you are looking for it.

What do you wish you would have known before deciding on MIT?
Where to find and build community (ACME, BGSA,OGE). Where to find amazing food. How to gear up for the cold (LL Bean Boots, Patagonia, and wear several layers). The best places to have fun and enjoy Boston (Red Sox and Celtics Games, MFA, Portland, ME and Cape Cod).

Graduate Student Groups/Organizations
Academy of Courageous Minority Engineers (ACME)
Graduate Student Council Diversity and Inclusion Subcommittee (GSC DIS)
University Center for Exemplary Mentoring (UCEM)
