MIT Health offers students the opportunity to purchase health insurance coverage from MIT<\/a> for their family members, including spouse or partner and\/or children. All students and family members enrolled in an MIT health plan may visit MIT Medical<\/a> for a wide variety of health care services, including primary care, pediatrics, and obstetrics\/gynecology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Graduate students covered under the MIT Dental Plan<\/a> may enroll their spouse\/partner and child\/children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tufts Dental School offers reduced-cost cleanings and services<\/a> if you have family members who are not on the MIT dental plan.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Students and spouses\/partners on the MIT Health Plan can access mental health services through MIT Mental Health and Counseling<\/a>. Students may see a provider located on campus or maybe be referred out to a provider in the local community.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Children on the MIT Health plans should see MIT pediatrics<\/a> if they are experiencing mental health challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Spouses and partners not on the medical plan should contact their own health care provider for a reference for mental health services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n MIT Recreation<\/a> offers students the opportunity to purchase 6 or 12 month family memberships to MIT recreation facilities. Access to MIT recreation facilities for students is covered by their annual student life fee.
