What sparked your interest in your current field, and what do you love about it?
Growing up I was always found myself asking the question of how does this work for almost every single system around me of interest. As I got older I became more interested in the science and design of machines that drive our physical world which led me to mechanical engineering.
Personal research summary
In the past I’ve completed research projects looking at atomic layer deposition as a self-limiting process for shrinking nanopores and also within the civil engineering department studying the behavior and response of high performance fiber-reinforce concrete composites undergoing cyclic loading patterns. Currently my interests veer towards looking at the intersection of materials and novel manufacturing methods in mechanical engineering.
