GCF Position: ISO Programming & Events
As a graduate fellow for the International Student Office (ISO), I have helped with many programs and events for international and visiting students. The main goal is to facilitate their transition to the United States and to ensure that they can thrive in this challenging environment. More specifically, I have worked for the ISO Welcome Reception, Afternoon Breaks, Navigating MIT series, etc. I am also responsible for the ISO’s social media, especially Facebook.
How does your GCF project enhance the graduate student community?
My GCF projects have helped many international students by offering practical advice for their personal life at MIT, e.g., clothing and food, socialization, budgeting, tax returns, etc. In general, we will spare no effort to make all international students feel respected, welcomed, and valued.
What is your favorite part of working in your GCF position?
My favorite part of working this GCF position has been to attend many different events and learn about different cultures.
