Workshop on Fellowships, Sep. 30

Interested in applying to graduate fellowships? Attend the workshop on applying to fellowships on September 30th from 12 pm to 1:30 pm in building 68-181.This presentation will go over the reasons why fellowships are desirable, how to find them, the application process, tips on personal statements and research proposals, the types of resources available and generally be available to answer any questions students may have. The fall is a major deadline season for fellowships including the NSF GRFP. This presentation will be mainly geared towards those interested in applying in the fall and winter of 2016/17 for funding during the 2017-2018 academic year. It is never too early to think about this process! For those who will not be able to make this workshop, the same workshop will be running again on Monday, October 17th from 12 pm -1:30 pm in 68-181 (more information will go out closer to the workshop). Interested students RSVP here (Free pizza!).

These workshops are organized as part of the ODGE’s Financial Literacy for Graduate Student Initiative. More information on the ODGE Financial Literacy Initiative can be found here. Please remember to utilize the completely free iGrad Financial Literacy platform (offered in collaboration with the MIT Federal Credit Union). It is customized for MIT with videos, articles, games,  job board, searchable scholarship database, and interactive modules on a wide range of topics, including emergency-funding, credit card management, identity protection, spending-smarts, etc. it is a great financial literacy tool for students and the MIT community in general.
