Mathematics of Society, Art, Industry, and Culture (MoSAIC), Dec. 11-12

MoSAIC is a national festival of mathematical artwork and the connections between math and society. The program includes:

  • A gallery of work by nationally acclaimed artists.
  • Workshops on creating mathematically inspired art.
  • Lectures and panels by speakers such as George Hart, co-founder of the Museum of Mathematics in New York City.

All events are FREE and open to the public. This event will take place on December 11-12 at MIT Museum on 265 Massachusetts Avenue. Funded in part by the Council for the Arts at MIT, the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute, and the Bridges Organization.  Hosted by the MIT Museum and Communicating Science @ MIT.
