Students who have carried out original research involving computationally intensive methods will present posters highlighting their research at the 2015 Center for Computational Engineering Student Symposium on Thursday, March 12th. The poster session starts at 5 pm in 34-401B, followed by the Keynote Lecture at 5:45 in 34-401. Dinner will be served at 6:45 pm in the same room. Dr. William Morokoff, the speaker at this year’s symposium, is a managing director at Standard & Poor’s and heads the Quantitative Analytics and Research Group. In this role, William is responsible for leading the research, development and application of quantitative methodologies, as well as for quantitative support for ratings criteria and credit assessment products and services at Standard & Poor’s. William has worked extensively in credit and market risk modeling, with a research focus on numerical analysis for portfolio risk management problems. Register for the event now!
