The Institute Equity and Community Office (ICEO), along with the Black Students Union (BSU), Black Women’s Alliance (BWA) and Black Graduate Student Association (BGSA), invite you to attend a panel discussion on Wednesday, December 10th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in Wong Auditorium in the wake of recent events in Ferguson, Missouri and New York City. The discussion will feature a panel of community activists, MIT faculty, and students, who will offer commentary on US systems of inequality based on race, as well as potential strategies to affect change in race relations at MIT and beyond. Dinner will be provided, and all members of the MIT community are invited to attend. Community members are encouraged to wear all black on the day of the event. Follow-up conversations will take place at the Institute Diversity Summit, which will take place from 1:00pm to 5:00pm on both Thursday, January 29th and Thursday, February 12th, 2015.
