Volunteer to tutor for ESL (Starting Sep. 22)

September 16, 2014

The MIT English as a Second Language (ESL) Program for Service Employees is looking for volunteers to tutor night shift employees for 1-2 hours per week or to serve as substitutes as needed. No experience is required. A good command of English and an interest in helping individuals whose first language is not English is all that is needed. The goals of the program are to build student’s confidence, to help them become more productive in their jobs, and to perhaps open up further opportunities for advancement. Tutoring takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 pm – midnight beginning September 22. This is an opportunity to make a real and positive difference. Please contact esl-admins@mit.edu for details.
