Are you interested in having an informal dinner with one of many MIT professors? The next GSC student-faculty dinner will be on Wednesday, April, 23rd, 2014 at 6:00pm with Professor Edmund Bertschinger. Professor Bertschinger is a physics professor working on cosmology and astrophysics. As a member of the MIT Kavli Institute for Astrophysics and Space Research, he leads a research program studying dark energy and dark matter. This is a great change to talk with Professor Bertschinger about his research, your interests, jobs, MIT in general, in a less formal and less crowded way. The first eight students who sign up will go the dinner. However, please sign up even if there are already more than eight students, as the next few people will be on the wait list in case there are any last minute cancellations.
