Come to the 2014 Center for Computational Engineering Student Symposium on Thursday, March 13th, 2014. Cleve Moler, the chief mathematician, chairman, and cofounder of MathWorks, will examine the mathematics at the heart of some MATLAB and Simulink functions that affect, and possibly save, lives every day (at 4:00pm in 26-100). Students who have carried out original research involving computationally intensive methods are invited to present a poster highlighting their research. The poster session will take place at 5:00pm in 34-401B, and will be an opportunity to learn about cutting edge research on computational science and applied mathematics. There will also be a dinner at 5:45pm. Please fill out the registration form on the website if you plan to attend any part of the event.
