On Thursday March 27th, from 6 to 7:30 PM at the MIT Museum, join a conversation with MIT Professor D. Fox Harrell and MIT researcher Todd Harper as they discuss ways in which cultural values are both created and represented in digital media. Explore how online communities and computer code both give rise to shared values – through the interactions between people online, as well as the underlying computational structure of video games, websites, and other online communities. D. Fox Harrell is an Associate Professor of Digital Media at MIT in the Comparative Media Studies Program and in the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. Todd Harper is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the MIT Game Lab. This is a free event part of the TalkBack 360 program series.
