Learn to play in time signatures you’ve never heard of! The MIT Folk Dance Club presents an open jam session on Monday, January 27 8:00 – 9:30 PM in 66-144, featuring traditional folk dance music from a variety of countries, led by Skorosmrtnica, a local folk dance band with its roots at MIT. Tunes will be from the Balkans (Bulgarian, Serbian, Croatian, Greek, and others) and a variety of other genres (klezmer, Romanian, Armenian, Israeli, Breton (the Celtic part of France), Russian, German, Scottish, Swedish, Quebecois, English, and American old time).
