Dr. William Janeway, a 30-year veteran of the investment banking and venture capital industries, will discuss his experience working at the intersection of finance, technology, and innovation on Thursday, October 17th, 2013 at 4:00pm (with refreshments preceding at 3:30pm) in MIT Room 56-154.  He will reflect on the system of innovation in the United States, the importance of financial bubbles to technological advances, and the role government has and should play in encouraging innovation.  Read about Dr. Janeway in The New York Times.
