Dr. William Janeway, a 30-year veteran of the investment banking and venture capital industries, will discuss his experience working at the intersection of finance, technology, and innovation on Thursday, October 17th, 2013 at 4:00pm (with refreshments preceding at 3:30pm) in MIT Room 56-154. He will reflect on the system of innovation in the United States, the importance of financial bubbles to technological advances, and the role government has and should play in encouraging innovation.
