EECS PhD student Cody Gilleland named first recipient of Regeneron Prize

Cody Gilleland, a PhD student in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), was recently awarded the first ever Regeneron Prize for Creative Innovation by a Graduate Student.

According to Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, which created the annual prize, this “new initiative [was] designed to acknowledge, reward, and foster talented early-career scientists.” Gilleland was nominated by the Office of the Dean for Graduate Education.
