Tips for Safer Computing

Whether you’re at work, at home, or traveling, on a desktop computer or a mobile phone, there are a few good measures you can take to help keep your data secure. Think of it as hygiene – just don’t take your device into the shower with you!

Anyone can benefit from implementing basic security practices on the devices they use – you don’t have to be a system administrator or know secret codes. Mike Halsall, of the IS&T Security Team, recommends three basic practices for secure computing.
