Frankenstein’s Cat Author Emily Anthes Comes to MIT on April 18

Emily Anthes, SM’ 06, will be at MIT to talk about her new book Frankenstein’s Cat: Cuddling up to Biotech’s Brave New Beasts on Thursday, April 18th, 2013, at 7:00pm in MIT Room 56-114.  Emily is a graduate of the MIT Graduate Program in Science Writing.  Copies will be available for purchase at the event.  Anne Fadiman, National Book Critics Circle Award-winning author of The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down says the book is “smart, lucid, and full of surprises” while Alan Lightman, bestselling author of Einstein’s Dreams, praises Anthes’s “wit, high intelligence, and lively writing style [in portraying] the new world of biotechnology.”  The event is free and open to the public.
