Discussing Ethnic Cleansing in Mexico, April 4

The Center for Bilingual/Bicultural studies (CB/BS) at MIT presents From Sinophobia to Expulsion: Anti-Chinese Campaigns and Ethnic Cleansing in Mexico (1900-1940). Evelyn Hu-DeHart, Professor of History and Ethnic Studies Director, Center for the Study of Race and Ethnicity in America (CSREA), Brown University, will be discussing the cultural effects that have led to segregation between Chinese and Mexican populations in Mexico. The introspective discussion will be held in the student center, W20-491 on April 4 from 4-5:30PM and light refreshments will be served.
