Pianist Robert Levin will be playing at the Sanders Theatre on Wednesday, March 27th, 2013 at 8:00pm. Both tickets and parking (at Broadway garage, on the corner of Broadway and Felton Streets, Cambridge) are free; tickets are required and are available at the Harvard Box Office, (617) 496-2222. In a unique concert to celebrate Levin’s two decades at Harvard, the world-renowned pianist will perform pieces that he commissioned, premiered or have been commissioned for him. These include Bernard Rands’ 12 Preludes, John Harbison’s Piano Sonata No. 2, Hans Peter Türk’s Träume (Dreams; a premiere) and Straccio Vecchio and Sauce 180 by Yehudi Wyner. As Levin is known for his skill in improvisation, there may be other surprises as well.
