Applications are now open for the Communicating Science 2013 workshop, to be held on June 13-15th in Cambridge, MA. The workshop will focus on teaching participates to build the communication skills that technical professionals need to express complex ideas to their peers. There will be panel discussions on the topics including Engaging Non-Scientific Audiences, Writing for a Cause, Communicating Science Through Fiction, Sharing Science with Scientists, Non-Academic Publishing, and Communicating using Multimedia and the Web. Workshop participants will produce an original piece of science writing and receive feedback from workshop attendees and professional science communicators. MIT graduate students in all fields of science and engineering are encouraged to apply here by March 1.
