Bakaya makes Forbes 30 Under 30

Priyanka Bakaya, a graduate of Stanford and the MIT Sloan School of Management, was named in the December 2012 Forbes 30 Under 30 List for her innovations in Energy research. Bakaya has perfected a process to transform landfill-bound plastic waste back into oil and founded her own clean energy startup called PK Clean which has won, among other prizes, a Lightspeed Venture Partners Fellowship, an MIT Clean Energy Prize, and both Best Energy Business Plan and Best Woman Entrepreneur at the Rice University Business Plan Competition. PK Clean manages a self sustaining pilot facility in India that is capable of producing 60 barrels of diesel from every 10 tons of plastic and is starting development of a full scale commercial pilot plant.
