MIT President Reif to hold office hours and listening tour

September 21, 2012

Starting in October, MIT President L. Rafael Reif will set aside two hours each month for 15-minute meetings with any member of the MIT community.  Interested members of the MIT community can submit their name, email address, phone number and topic through a sign-up form.  Dr. Reif has also scheduled a dozen open sessions to meet with groups of faculty in all five Schools and is in the process of identifying other opportunities to meet, formally and informally, with students and staff.  Additional information regarding these listening activities can be found at president.mit.edu.

  1. Hi President Reif,
My name is Amy Robinson and I recently moved to Cambridge to work with Sebastian Seung’s computational neroscience lab. Let’s meet to discuss an idea worth spreading: TEDxMIT. I am very involved with TED and, when I’m not helping gamify neuroscience, run the TEDx Global Music Project. I can think of fewer places better suited to change the world by turning ideas into action than MIT.
